AUTOMOBILE ART COMMISSIONS
Over and above the works shown for sale in the Artwork for Sale gallery, I welcome the opportunity to produce auto-paintings to a client’s exact requirements
I would be pleased to work with you in conceptualising and designing an original work for your home, office, man cave, bar area, or as a special gift for a relative etc. - according to your exact personal requirements.
You may, for example, have a photograph of a specific automobile that has an interesting history or which you may have owned in the past.
Commissioned artworks are normally available in about five to twelve weeks depending on the complexity of the work and the availability of myself with regard to my existing production commitments at that time.
You are welcome to contact me by e-mail to discuss your ideas and we can plan the piece together on a personal level, utilizing apps such as WhatsApp.
At this stage I would work from your images, to work out a suggested layout. From there the exact sizing of the piece, an estimated date of completion and a price would be discussed and agreed upon.
Once all the details of the proposed work have been finalised a 50% deposit would be requested so that the project may commence.
All of my art works are supplied with the following:

a Certificate of Authenticity,

a document detailing the Production Process with images from all the stages,

an Artist Statement and
-
a document detailing the history of the vehicle where appropriate.

THE DAKAR RALLY -
AN INTERESTING COMMISSION
One of my most interesting commissions was received from the HALLSPEED Team following an introduction to Glyn and Michelle Hall.
HALLSPEED designs and builds the Toyota Hilux Dakar Rally entry under contract from Toyota Gazoo Racing at a dedicated facility close to the famous Kyalami Race Track near Johannesburg.
To win the Dakar Rally, the driver, the navigator and the support team all have to be "as tough as leather".
To celebrate their outstanding 2019 win Michelle commissioned me to reproduce a work of the Toyota at high speed in the desert. The artwork was presented to Glyn who led the design, development and manufacture of the vehicle.
"I was looking for something very unique to celebrate our teams great achievement in winning the 2019 DAKAR Rally for both South Africa and TOYOTA Gazoo Racing for the very first time.
The artwork I received from Alan is a perfect rendition of a truly exciting and magical moment in time for the Hallspeed team.
