  Wildlife Art on LEATHER

The Gemsbok Modelled into Leather_edited.jpg

      - for unique
            Wildlife Artwork

As can be seen in the image of the Gemsbok above the modelling of the leather means that the subject stands proud off the surface (like a coin or medallion) creating a greater sense of depth and a highly realistic 3D look to the work.

Besides the visual effect, and it is this which is so unique and entrancing, all the details of the subject - even the very finest shown in the enlarged images shown right - can actually be touched and felt by the viewer.

This means that a second human sense; that of touch, is thereby engaged to significantly enhance the visual enjoyment of the art piece.

It is this quite unique aspect of all my artworks for sale which results in the artwork invariably becoming an interesting and on-going conversation piece.

Buffalo - Leather Modelling

A Client's Comments:

"Alan's quite unique style of modelling the subject of each work into leather definitely enhances our enjoyment of them - particularly when visitors enquire about the fact that they can actually touch and feel the horns of the buffalo or the tusks and trunk of the elephant."
