Experience this unique ART on LEATHER medium which is a significantly different art form.

 

In this process all the details of the subject car are first modelled into damp cowhide leather and only then is the work coloured with acrylic paints using an airbrush.

 

As can be seen in the image of the BMW above the modelling of the leather means that the subject is raised off the surface (like a coin or medallion) creating a greater sense of depth and a highly realistic 3D look to the work.

 

Besides the visual effect, all the details of the subject - even the very finest - can actually be touched and felt by the viewer.  A second very important human sense; that of touch is thereby engaged to add to the visual effect.  

 

It is this unusual and very specific aspect of each of my auto-paintings which means that the pleasure obtained by the viewer from the work is substantially enhanced and in the process the artwork also becomes an interesting and on-going conversation piece.
